Deep Blue Requiem is a first person story-rich walking simulator game. Atlas, a specialist from the United Marine Administration and doing research on marine catastrophe. Due to the recent catastrophe, Atlas fell into a severe coma and lost all the memories. During the coma, Atlas started to recall something in his mind. The player is going to act as Atlas, find all his lost memories, and try to wake up at the end of the game.
The intention is that every time the player reaches another floor by accessing all memory items from the previous floor is to let them gain another piece of major information to the whole puzzle. For example, in the third floor after getting all of the items, the player can piece everything together to make the conclusion that his family was killed in a tsunami and that he was a researcher at the UMA. However, this leaves the player to figure out why there was a tsunami that killed them, so the other floors should serve as other solutions to that. Essentially, all of the three floors serve a connecting purpose, but are slowly fed to the player, so that they can piece it themselves as well.
